I'm not much of a packrat, but I do have a small collection of objects that have special meaning to me. The leaves in this collage I collected when I was teaching a workshop in Charlottesville, Virginia. I sealed them quickly, so they retained much of the original color. Friends gave me bits of bark, a slice of agate and other natural materials. All found materials were sealed with gloss medium before use. While they dried, I prepared the background of cut and torn decorative marbled paper, adhering with Golden Soft Gel. I also adhered the leaves with Soft Gel, but used heavier gel for the bits of bark and the agate. Try it for yourself--read my project on nature collage.
